A little smarti hello.

Hi, I'm SMarti, and I'm currently in Windhoek.

I'm an illustrator of bright, informative and playful things. I sketch, draw, paint and graphically record portraits, objects, process, architecture and live concerts and events. I turn them into portraits, treasure maps, tourist walks and paper keepsakes like prints, postcards and bookmarks. On instagram, I share illustrations and comics on my expat life.

I earned my graphic design degree in Buenos Aires in 2015 - scrappy and happy to figure things out in the visual arts. Then, I jumped to Paris in 2017 and capped my education with a Masters in Design for Social Impact (it was mostly design thinking and social betterment projects - design for good!) Now I freelance as we travel abroad.

I cater my work to companies involved in future-forward projects under the ACCCE umbrella (Animals, Conservation, Culture, Community, and Environment.) My clients include Katagrama, Jazzed on Grains and It Takes A Village.

My partner and I have lived an expat life since 2010 following work assignments across the globe. We've lived in Luanda, London, Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Paris, and Copenhagen. And now we live in Windhoek, Namibia. When I'm not working, you can find me lifting weights at the gym, practicing rocket yoga, playing ukulele or making a vegan dinner for friends.

Thinking about working with me? Here are some testimonials from previous clients:

Working with Smarti was a great experience - she brought such a fresh creative style to the project, and her eye for detail made everything look fantastic. She's organized, reliable, and really cares about making sure everyone is thrilled with the final result, which kept the whole process smooth and enjoyable. We had so much fun collaborating with her on the Bike Part Hunt and her work truly took the festival to the next level.

Smarti is an absolute pleasure to work with. She has an incredible talent to quickly grasp and share in your vision, and translate it into compelling visuals. Her ability to capture complex information within a visual format that tells a detailed story is impeccable. Her creative spirit and passion for her craft are infectious, making every collaboration both productive AND inspiring!

SMarti is an exceptional artist who is able to capture complex topics and present them in an engaging way with a very personal touch. The poster she made on the life of a quantum physicist has resulted in many compliments at work.
